Police, DCS investigate Terre Haute house fire after two kids were hurt

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A Monday evening fire in Terre Haute is under investigation. 

Fire crews and police were called to a home on 200 block of Kent Avenue for a fire reportedly caused by fireworks. 

The Terre Haute Police Department said they learned there were multiple children inside the home without adult supervision when the fire started. All of the kids were able to escape. 

Two of the kids were hurt with non-life-threatening injuries and were sent to the hospital. Terre Haute Police said the two kids were transferred to an Indianapolis hospital as a precaution. 

Now, police, the Department of Child Services and the Vigo County Prosecutors Office are investigating.
